SPICY MUSHROOM THOKKU RECIPE/SPICY MUSHROOM MASALA

I'm a very big fan of mushrooms, but I feel very lazy to clean the inside part of mushrooms. ...So I don't buy button mushroom, I prefer the sliced ones instead ... Mushroom contains a very high water content and low in calories so they are good for people who is dieting.
Mushrooms are loaded with nutrients and it helps to improve the immune system of the body. Eating mushrooms regularly over long periods of time has been proven to actually decrease the number of cancerous cells in the body.So try to have this veggie in your diet at least once a week,as i was badly carving for something spicy and thought this would be the right dish, and this a easy one and tastes great with chapatti and curd rice…

Ingredients:

Sliced mushroom - 1 cup(chopped and cleaned the inside black part)
Onion - 1(medium sized)
Olive oil - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/8 tsp
Dried red chilly - 1
Ginger garlic paste - 1&1/2 tsp
Curd - 1 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1/8 tsp
Garam masala - pinch
Salt - to taste

Method:

Take a kadai pour in olive oil add the cumin seeds allow it to splutter followed by dried red chilly and onion, saute it the onion comes to light golden color, then add in ginger garlic  paste and saute till the raw smell leaves out.

Then add in the sliced mushroom and saute for a min when the mushroom oozes out water then add curd, red chilly powder and garam masala and saute well.

Saute the mushroom till it comes to a dry consistency and finally add in chopped coriander and give a quick stir.

Serve this spicy mushroom thokku with chapatti and enjoy!

Notes:

When you use clean the mushrooms nicely when you slit you can see a dark string layer inside clean it completely and peel the outer layer of the button mushroom.

You can also add in 1 tsp of curd to have a zing of tangy flavor.

Don't add in any water while cooking mushroom by itself leaves out the enough water to cook.
