PAPAYA MOUSSE

Mousse is a very famous french dessert, it can be either sweet or savory.Dessert mousses are typically made with whipped egg whites or whipped cream I have  tried with whipped cream and it tastes so yummy. The word itself is too tempting .strawberry mousse was the first french dessert which i tasted in Song Of India it just melted in my mouth, totally forgot about my diet had 3 mini cups :)

Then finally tried with papaya,Rk says no to papaya...but i just love the bland taste of papaya so want to try something different so that Rk will at least taste ... to tell you he liked the creamy smooth yummy mousse..... great achievement :) so let me share the recipe

Ingredients:

Papaya puree - 2 cups
Thick cream - 3/4 cup
Gelatin(unflavored) - 1&1/2 tsp
Water - 1/4 cup
Powder sugar- 1/4 cup or adjust to taste

Method:

Puree the papaya, check the sweetness of fruit and adjust the sugar.Mix the gelatin with little warm water and set aside till it blooms.

Take a thick bottom pan add 1/2 cup of the puree and heat in a low flame for 3-4 minutes, add water allow it to boil then add the gelatin mix and stir continuously till gelatin is dissolved completely.

Add the remaining papaya puree to it and allow to cool completely

Take a blender add thick cream, sugar and blend it for just 30 sec, so that the cream forms soft stiff peaks.

Then gently fold in whipped cream to the puree and mix till the cream dissolves completely.pour in to the mousse mold r ramekins, refrigerate for at least 6 hours. And here comes your papaya mousse..enjoy..:)
