BROCCOLI STIR FRY RECIPE/BROCCOLI COOKED IN INDIAN STYLE

Broccoli I'm so impressed with its name and the Way they look... I always like greens; they are very refreshing and healthy too... I came to know about the health benefits(Broccoli contains a substantial amount of nutrients that are extremely good for health including vitamins A, C, folic acid, fiber and calcium. This cruciferous vegetable has also become popular because of its ability to good amount health benefits) and the style of cooking broccoli from my aunt who stays here... When I happened to visit their home for lunch she made this broccoli fry for me... It tasted different and loved the crunchy texture of the green... From then this has been included in our diet... And to tell u garlic and broccoli is a fantastic combination that everyone should give a try...

Ingredients:

Broccoli - 1(medium sized)
Olive oil - 1 tsp
Garlic - 4
Onion - 1(medium sized)
Turmeric powder - 1/8 tsp
Sambar powder - 2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/8 tsp
Water - to sprinkle
Salt - to taste

Method:

Take a kadai pour in olive oil then add in chopped garlic saute till golden, then add in onion and saute till they are translucent.

Clean the broccoli cut into medium sized chunks, then add in sambar powder, turmeric powder and salt saute will, then add in broccoli mix well keep closed in low flame for 2-4 mins, then open add in garam masala and sprinkle some water, then close and cook till broccoli is cooked well

Serve as a side dish for Sambar or chapatti and stay healthy

Notes:

Saute garlic till golden this adds in more flavor to the dish, don't reduce the amount for garlic and the garlic i have mentioned is big sized so adjust according to it.

Don't add in more water, just sprinkle some and cook the broccoli in low flame with lid closed.

Finally add in garam masala, this give a nice taste with a crunchy texture.
